Works great November 8, 2009 Lisa (Dallas, TX) First, be sure to take your cat to a vet and have it checked if it begins urinating outside the box. Don't take chances when it comes to your kitty's health, because here are some serious medical issues that could be causing this particular behavior such as feline lower urinary tract disease, kidney stones, or renal failure. If you find out kitty is indeed just having an 'issue', then I highly recommended this product. I have a male cat that has always been a 'bully', and despite being neutered will occasionally urinate outside the litterbox. He gets in moods for a few days sometimes during which he will rev up his bullying of the other cats and the dogs and pee on the floor. Just a few squirts at the bottom corners of doorways and furniture ALWAYS nips that in the bud. Worth every penny!
Feliway October 25, 2009 Karen S. Yuschak (Maryland) My friend recommended Feliway to prevent our cat from making a litter box out of the bedroom.
It did temporarily repel him from his favorite area to pee. However, when the Feliway odor wears off, he's back over there sniffing. It doesn't take but a day for that odor to dissipate.
Happy Cats in a Bottle - A True Miracle! October 23, 2009 D. Middono (Iowa) I have two kitties, Tucker and George. Both have been long time friends and playmates and in the past had always gotten along very well. About a week ago, for no apparent reason, Tucker went ballistic and attacked George. Terrified, George ran to hide. It was the beginning of a seemingly neverending war between them. Tucker insisted on continuing to stalk, terrify and attack the smaller and more timid George. George peed and pooped himself in terror with each surprise attack, and sought refuge under our bed where he sprayed the walls under our headboard and hissed and growled at anybody or anything that came close by. Keeping the cats separated did not help to bring down the tension level, and after 2 days and 3 sleepless nights with a stinky, angry cat under our bed we were desperate for a solution.
Online searching led to recommendations for Feliway. In our rural area it was hard to find, but a vet was able to order some for me and get it the next day. I was skeptical to say the least, and a little put off by the price tag for a small spray bottle, but desperate to try anything just to get a good nights sleep.
I took the product home and went to work. I spritzed a little in every room of the house - on the cat's favorite lounging areas, at each doorway to every room, near the litter boxes and food areas, with extra helpings in my bedroom where the deeply traumatized George was hiding.
The transformation was amazing and swift. Immediately the aggressive stalker Tucker became more relaxed and followed me around as I sprayed the Feliway, happily rubbing his head where I sprayed. He stopped haunting the doorway to my bedroom where he had parked himself for 4 days waiting to strike George should he dare come out.
It took longer for George to react to the Feliway, understandable considering the miserable state he was in. But within 20 minutes of spraying the Feliway around the house, George came out from under our bed, looking much improved, happy, and even a bit confident. Within minutes the two cats were sharing a porch window contently together.
I am now continuing to use the Feliway once a day around the house, and it is working wonderfully to keep Tucker's aggression at bay and boost George's confidence and well-being. The cats are getting along better than ever and playing well together. I will continue to use the Feliway for another week or two and gradually wean them off, in hopes of avoiding regression to bad behaviors. This product has been a sanity saver for my family and my cats, and without it I have no doubt they'd still be at war. From now on I will always have a little bottle of Feliway in my arsenal of kitty products!
Amazing spray! October 12, 2009 Reesee (Texas) My cat kept urinating on my bed. We tried everything...even covering the bed with a tarp and eventually locking the cat out of the bedroom. She would meow constantly at the door. Then I heard about Feliway. Since I began to use it we have had no improper urinating. We are able to let her sleep with us again and we can get a good nights sleep without listening to catter-walling at the door. I spray a little Feliway on the bed every day or two...it does the trick!
Great product! September 26, 2009 DHS This stuff really works. It seems to keep my overly-sensitive kitties calm, significantly reduces unwanted scratching and elimination "accidents". Worth the money, and, purchased from this Amazon merchant, a super value.
