Product Description
Cosequin is a patented, scientifically researched nutritional supplement dispensed by thousands of veterinarians to help dogs maintain healthy joints. Recommendation as a Supplement: The initial administration period is 4 to 6 weeks. Most animals should respond within this period. Improvement on Cosequin can range from gradual to dramatic. If the improvement is gradual, it may go unnoticed by the owner. It is therefore important to keep the animal at the initial amount for at least 4 to 6 weeks before deciding to discontinue the use of Cosequin. If there is gradual improvement and Cosequin is discontinued, a regression of clinical status can occur. Tablets can be directly fed to pet or crumbled and mixed with food. Directions: Initial Administration (4-6 Wks), Divide Dosage Between Am and PM, 10-24 lbs: 1 capsule daily, 25-49 lbs: 2 caps daily, 50-100 lbs: 3 caps daily, Over 100 lbs: 4 caps daily. Maintenance Administration (After initial 4-6 week period), 10-24 lbs: 1/2 caps daily, 25-49 lbs: 1 capsules daily, 50-100 lbs: 1-2 caps daily, Over 100 lbs: 2 caps daily. The amount can be increased at any time depending on the pet's needs. If the pet does not respond as well when the level is decreased, then return to previous level. Remain on this amount for a month, then try again to gradually reduce. Sometimes an every other day amount or lowering the amount by 1/2 capsule rather than one capsule can be successful. Chewable. Cosequin is palatable to dogs, cats and birds.

Our dog is 11 yrs old. Within a couple of weeks, he's running like a puppy now. He also stopped groaning when he lays down. I switched from pills to these chewables and they're great.

This past year, we had noticed that our 10 year old yellow lab mix dog was having some hind leg instability and tremurs, making it difficult to walk. We were alarmed and I mentioned it to our vet. He suggested trying Cosequin DS, which we purchased from his office. We started using it and almost immediately we noticed significant improvement in our dogs mobility and no leg instability. When I ran out of this product last month I needed more but wanted to find the best price. I did at Amazon- getting three times the amount for the same price as I did from our vet. By the way, it is the only product where I can give to our dog that he chews up without having to hide the tablets in peanut butter so he eats it. Great product, real results!

This is a great product! My Chocolate Lab was hit by a car a few years ago. After surgery and recovery, it was suggested that we supplement with Cosequin. It works GREAT! You can hardly tell she was ever injured. BEST of all, the price was FANTASTIC!! Well below many, many competitors.

I purchased the chewable tablets for my 12 year old female lab mix because she was in so much pain that at times she could not get up after laying down. The tablets worked so well that we noticed improvement almost immediately and over time were able to actually slightly reduce the dosage. We will definitely continue to give them to her.
