5 out of 5 stars Hair today gone today   November 16, 2009

I read the reviews before I bought the FURminator and it's better than I expected. My cats love it & my Chow looks great. If you have pets this tool is priceless.

5 out of 5 stars Lives up to the hype and worth every penny   October 29, 2009
J. Frank (New York City)
I have two cats - a short haired calico that sheds like mad and a long haired 'maine coon' type that doesn't shed (but has major hairball problems lately). I've been using the Kong rubber brush, which they love, and seemed to be getting a lot of hair off of them and they loved. But it never seemed to get enough to finish the job.

Saw this product on Amazon during a Special Deal and noticed that it sold out pretty quickly - which I always take as a sign that a product is worth looking into. Even though it was a tad on the pricey side (as it wasn't during a 'bargain' sale period), I decided to go for it. And man am I glad I did. Those pictures where people make a 'cat' out of the fur they got off with this brush? No exaggeration. After a half hour brushing them yesterday (which they loved...to the point where they would reach over and grab the brush by the handle's ridges with a single claw and drag it over to them...in case I missed the hint...), I got two 6" balls of fur off of them. And I'm still not finished. This will be an ongoing project this week, but already their fur seems softer.

The FURejector seems to work well (as others have mentioned it doesn't eject so much as gather and release the fur so you +can666666----------------6...my cat wanted to type in her comments too, I guess...anyway, it gathers it so you can pull it off in one clump.

Highly recommended.

5 out of 5 stars Its Superb!   October 24, 2009
Derek J. Mcgowan (Minnesota, USA)
I have a tendency to be cynical about new products but my wife wife was persistent in getting me to buy a cat comb. Our Vet used a Furminator on one of our cats during a routine jab visit. My wife was sold! I finally agreed we should purchase one - our cats cost us a small fortune!! The result of using this shedding tool was incredible. We removed an enormous amount of under fur and were finally rid of matted fur that accumulates during the summer months when the cats are in their outside cat compound. You probably need to know we have 10 domesticated cats on our farm that we care for as pets. The cats just love being combed with this tool. Their fur looks so much better. We would recommend this tool to every cat owner. It has made our life so much easier and the cats look forward to their combing. My wife proved me wrong (again!!). By the way, my wife turned me into a cat lover which I do not often admit to.

5 out of 5 stars A must have for dog owners!   October 17, 2009
Jon Rybicki (Auburn, ME USA)
Our two Westies don't shed that much, but this still made a big difference in how much we have to clean the floors, rugs, and furniture. A must have item.

This tool is amazing for getting the excess hair out of a dog's coat. Using it has significantly reduced our allergies to the dog's hair.
