Who is Oster now? November 12, 2009 Mark E. Slater (NY, NY USA) When I received the product, I was surprised there was a warning in the cord ( of all things!) stating the cord contained lead and you should wash your hands after use. Don't you think, after all these years, a cord could be made without lead. Big surprise! It's made in China. I sent it back. What a big disappointment. When I e-mailed Oster about my complaint, they e-mailed back telling me to contact someone else. What's in a name anymore when it comes to trust?!
Dog Toe Nail Grinder October 28, 2009 Kristy Weprin (Boulder, CO USA) I was a little disappointed by the wimpyness of the motor. Hardly any pressure seems to slow it way down. It's much better than the cordless one I borrowed once. That one was close to useless. You have to be careful to not get your pet's hair caught up in the shaft. It's easy to avoid and not that big of a deal, but something to be aware of. The wimpy motor just stopped without hurting my dog.
Overall, I'll say that this does what I bought it for and it is better than the alternatives I have used (clippers and the cordless grinder).
Good product but case should be larger October 22, 2009 A Consumer (Eastern PA) We use this nail trimmer for our Great Dane's nails. It does not have the power of the tool we'd had previously, but it is adequate and a good value for the price. But we've not been able to easily get the contents back into the case since the case is so small. Otherwise we like the tool and would recommend it.
Excellent! October 18, 2009 Spiralgoddess (Tennessee) Ideal for home use or professional use. Just be careful to take the nail off in small increments. Excellent results.
To grind or clip October 12, 2009 J. A. Naples (bensalem pa) Product is fairly easy to use but should have better instructions ,i.e., when to properly use the attachments that are included
