Advantage November 16, 2009 T. Cresci (San Bruno, CA USA) The advantage is a great product for my dog - keeps the fleas away entirely. Also great price through Amazon
great results November 3, 2009 larry sickler (ilion) this works very well for fleas .I've tried others with much less results.I've used this for years with no reactions to my animals.i tried adnvantix and all my animals got sick.
Best Flea Treatment for Dogs October 22, 2009 M. Fillpot (OK) My dog is allergic to fleas. This is the only flea product that keeps him completely flea and tick free for the 30 days that's advertised. I like that it's water resistant, unlike the cheaper imitation products. This is the only flea treat I have to use for him. I don't even have to treat his bedding or my carpets with a lot of chemicals when I keep him on Advantage.
Works better than the other brand.... October 16, 2009 Gluteus Maximus (SoCal) This ended up working better than the other brand. We purchased front line and it didn't work that well. This one did work great. Immediately, I noticed that our dog minimized scratching. It took about two days for our dog to completely stop scratching. This one was a little cheaper than frontline as well.
Works well, expensive October 16, 2009 M. Epstein I've used pretty much all of the anti-flea applications I can find, from Advantage (and Frontline) to the cheaper stuff. I went to Advantage after being disappointed with Frontline and getting a lecture about how the cheaper stuff was unhealthy for my pets. Advantage works the best of any of them, but I wish it didn't cost so much.
Not only did it get rid of the flea problems quickly, it holds up for a month. It also is by far the easiest to apply of any topical anti-flea application, which is worth something, especially when you have a cat that hates to get even minimally wet and a dog that gets into everything. It also dries faster and doesn't stink, like some of the cheap products.
Worth the money? At least as much as anything else out there.
