5 out of 5 stars A must have video!   July 6, 2000

I know there are many useless videos out there that you will probably only watch once, but this is one video that everyone should own and watch repeatedly. In my opinion, this video is a staple item -- like having Ketchup in your house. You never know when you'll use it again, but you know you'll always have a need for it.

How Smart Is Your Puppy? is a self-scoring video that features 15 easy tests that are designed to help you choose the right puppy for you and your family. Dr. Laura Pasten narrates this educational video and offers a straightforward, common sense approach to her techniques. She makes the job of selecting a new puppy instructive, as well as fun. I know a can use this video over and over again - each time I bring a new little one into my home. It's a great way to refresh my already overloaded mind!

I highly recommend this video to anyone considering bringing in a new puppy into the home, especially to breeders or animal shelters who have the Herculean task of placing the right puppy into the right home the first time around.

I want to congratulate Dr. Laura Pasten on a job well done. This tape is very professional and gets the "essence" of what puppy aptitude testing is all about. She is one of the few who has understood the importance of this testing; During the past 20 years, I developed some of the tests, and Dr. Pasten has done a good job of presenting them. I think Dr. Pasten has done the best job on this topic of any of the other books or videos I have seen. A must for all to perform on any of the puppies they are considering "adopting."
