| Editorial Reviews:
Product Description The author was inspired to write this book by her son. After receiving a puppy the author realized how few books are available that teach preschoolers about potty training - let alone how to become involved in basic puppy training. Peyton Wolfe teaches young children how to begin developing a positive bond with the new puppy, while at the same time learning self-awareness of their own responsibilities. "NOT IN THE HOUSE!" is a precious story that helps young children through their potty training and the new puppy through house breaking. The adorable illustrations will captivate the imagination, while the catchy "Potty Song" helps guide them through one of the many milestones of growing up. WE DID IT!

| Customer Reviews: well worth it May 7, 2009 Debra Patterson (Florida) 2 out of 2 found this review helpful
I bought this book based on a recommendation and am very pleased with it. My kids love it! As a parent it makes me happy to see books out there for small children that teaches them about responsibility and taking pride in themselves. Throughout the book, they giggle at the different pictures and tell me that they have learned a new song. Glad it was recommended to me and that I listened enough to make the purchase.
HAPPY PARENT May 4, 2009 Loran Evans (California) 3 out of 3 found this review helpful
I am so pleased with this book. It was easy for my 3 year old to follow and my 4 year old to read. The book is written well for kids this age to enjoy. It is just how a children's book should be, entertaining. We have a older dog and it's nice to see the kids take to the responsibility of caring for Buster (our dog). I have recommended this book to my sister for her kids as well as some parents with little children at my church. It's fun and the kids will love it:D
So poorly written! March 19, 2009 K. Mansfield (Cincinnati, Ohio USA) 0 out of 3 found this review helpful
While this is a great concept, this book is so poorly written that I cringe whenever my son wants me to read it. On some pages it's as if the author attempted to make it rhyme, but fell short, and in other places, there's no attempt. Sometimes there starts to be a poetic rhythm to the words, and then suddenly, there isn't. Commas appear where they are not needed. Capitalization is random. Sometimes the text is centered; at other times, it's aligned left. The entire thing looks like it was put together on someone's home computer, by someone with little grasp of the rules of grammar. I can't believe it actually got published!
Really cute! January 12, 2007 Geoff Sulcer (Stow, OH United States) 4 out of 5 found this review helpful
I bought this book after a friend recommended it. My son really loves the pictures and he asks me every night to read it to him. What a great idea to combine potty training and housebreaking a puppy into one book.
WHAT A GREAT KIDS BOOK May 15, 2006 P. Hayden (Cuyahoga Falls, Ohio USA) 3 out of 4 found this review helpful
I am a mother of a three year going through potty training and my husband and I bought our three year old a puppy for his birthday. Of course kids and dogs go together like peas & carrots or peanut butter & jelly. This book reached our son with a short and easy to remember potty song, but also brought my 3 year old and the puppy closer together. The pictures are just simply great - in fact the book is a favorite in our house. My husband and I have read it so many times to our son that he has it in memmory. He goes through the house singing the words from the song and is very active in training his puppy. (With mom and dad's help of course) What a nice book and how it just reaches the kids - IT'S ABOUT TIME -
Thanks to the author and we can't wait until the next one comes out. We'll be looking for it :)
