| Customer Reviews: too much anatomy education June 6, 2009 squasch (IL USA) While I know it's important, even key, to massage, I never got past the middle of the book because I couldn't take all the anatomy lessons that precede any direction in massaging your pet. I liked the book, easy to follow, but difficult to maintain my attention in order to finish the book.
Well Done! October 26, 2007 nano-nadoo (St. Louis, MO) 5 out of 5 found this review helpful
Sue Furman has written the ultimate book on canine massage. This book is an excellent resource for the professional and student alike. The layout of the information is easy to navigate and understand. Unlike many other canine massage books on the market, Sue has done her research and is very knowledgable and accurate. Her extensive background in the sciences is revealed in the high standard she set in the writing of this book, from the anatomy and physiology to the hands-on therapy. You can't ask for more! Way to go, Sue!

Sue Furman knows her stuff!!! She does a fabulous job of explaining how a dog's body functions at each level, from the tiny nerves and muscles, to each body system, all the way up to the integument system (skin). Everything is explained in layman's terms and diagrams/illustrations are included to help you further understand the concepts. If you want to learn about a dog's body, or how to correctly massage a dog, GET THIS BOOK!!
