A good book written by someone who has done the hard yards. Certainly one of the better dog training books in my library and one that I recommend off my web site. wwwrossallan.com

This book is especially good for the person starting out. It goes step by step in each training method and gives good pictures and drawings of the exercises to be performed. You are given traits to look for when selecting your K-9 partner as well as what to avoid. You are told exactly what to expect and if you do not get the desired result to repeat the lessons until you do. It was very benefitial to me with my first police dog.
