5 out of 5 stars Great Pet Travel Experience   November 20, 2009
Patricia S. Guinn (Atlanta, GA USA)
I purchased this product for use in transporting two kittens from Dallas to Atlanta. The kittens were 7 months old, so I had some concerns about them both riding comfortably in the same carrier. It was a non issue. It fit well beneath the seat in front of us on an MD-88 aircraft. I especially like the light weight frame the carrier has because it keeps it at full height instead of collapsing down on top of the pet(s) inside. (I should mention we were in 1st class, but I don't think the space under the seats differs from coach having ridden in both cabins many times.) The kittens traveled very well and seemed quite happy on the trip. We opened the flap on the end so we could see them through the mesh during the flight. They could see us and we could see them. This carrier also worked well for taking the kittens to/from the gate pre and post flight.

2 out of 5 stars Cats on a Plane!   November 18, 2009
Dave
We purchased two of these for our two cats for an international flight to Germany. Everything went fine for our connection flight, but 10 minutes before takeoff, one of our cats had chewed/scratched through the mesh netting and nearly got loose on the plane! Luckily I felt something by my feet move. To my amazement, half of my cat's body was out of the bag.

Long story short, my wife and I took turns holding her in the carrier for the entire 8 hour flight.

They almost need to reinforce the netting with some type of titanium...

5 out of 5 stars Travelling with my pal   October 9, 2009
P. Sunday
Took the first airline trip with my 6-month, 9 1/2 lb. Havanese. It was easy to carry him through the airport using the shoulder strap. On board, after a little whining, he settled down. On the return trip, he whined more so I put my jacket over the carrier to make it dark inside which really helped. Next time I will roll down the flaps at each end and see if that does the same thing. The mesh panels are really sturdy as the puppy was chewing and scratching at them at first but no damage was done. Recommend using the carrier for several days before going on a trip to get your pet used to it. We went to the dog park which made him associate the carrier with a fun experience.

5 out of 5 stars no worries!   October 2, 2009
Lee Duncan
After looking at many "fashion" carriers at pet stores, I opted for the 'Delta airlines approved', understated black sherpa bag.
It has several vents for air and for your pet to see, has a cushioned mat, and is well constructed.
It also works well for traveling in a car. It is small enough to fit on the seat, yet large enough for my dog to stand and move around.
Highly reccommend.

4 out of 5 stars Worked well for short flight   September 21, 2009
wall0304 (Rockville, MD United States)
We took a 12 pound, 4 month old puggle on a trip last week. The carrier worked flawlessly and both flights were uneventful -- exactly what I had hoped for. I had no problems with airport personnel or with putting the carrier under the seat in front of me. Our dog is crate trained and took to the carrier immediately. We practiced a few times before leaving and our puppy was calm the entire way. The carrier is a little difficult to balance if the dog moves around when you're walking and does get heavy after a while. I was a little concerned that the puppy would chew through the mesh sides -- it doesn't seem particularly strong -- but we didn't have any problems (despite taking a roll of duct tape just in case). The only thing I would improve on the crate is the velcro that holds the padding down. After a while it loses its "stickiness" because the sheepskin from the pad gets caught in it, and then it tends to slide around.
