| Customer Reviews: A disappointment January 27, 2009 Nurse writer (Colorado, USA) 1 out of 2 found this review helpful
This book was a real disappointment for me. I bought it as a reference. It has a poor index; I do not usually find any of the common terms I am searching in it. The book is a fine example of what happens when nurses become too educated and concentrate on theory more than actual patient care. Do not get this book if you need a reference for the nursing care and procedures for childbirth in any form.
Perinatal Nursing by Kathleen Rice, Phd Simpson September 5, 2005 Sharon K. Zell (Everett, WA USA) 10 out of 11 found this review helpful
Great book. I am a perinatal nurse and I wanted to review before taking my NCC exam. This book has everything you need to know all in one book. Very thorough.
Evidence based care October 19, 2004 Rachel Richter (St. Louis, MO) 7 out of 8 found this review helpful
Yes, this book refers to a number of studies. But if you like a text with a sound basis in evidence based care, this is the text for you.

It is somewhat hard to keep a focus as the text refers to many studies. I like plain and simple language I can understand and not all the "study" statistics!!
