Product Description When your dog is too distracted to obey a command or displays bad behavior, you use the handheld remote control dog training device to trigger the spray collar. A harmless spray is released; it interrupts the dog's inappropriate actions and makes him receptive to your command.
It offers a surprise stimulus that targets your dog's heightened senses: He hears it, feels it, sees it and smells it. He begins to associate his inappropriate behaviors with receiving a spray. Through repetition, association and conditioning, the unacceptable behavior is soon eliminated.
The Kit includes:
Handheld remote control
Patented spray device
Adjustable collar
Two 6 volt battery
Complete training CD & manual
1 Scentless spray refill

Works Great, But Not Durable October 19, 2009 Ronald F. Minnick (Louisville, Ky) We have went through three MultiVet Spray Commanders. They worked so well that instead of taking a refund after the first one broke, we got a new one. Then, after a couple months, it broke too. No more refunds. So, we bought another one. It had our 50-pound dog behaving and not leaving her "area." It was just great. No barking. No chewing on furniture. Then, the No. 1 (beep sound) stopped working. The No. 2 and No. 3 buttons worked, but that's like going straight to a spanking instead giving a firm warning with the No. 1 first. I switched the batteries, thinking it just needed more power, but it was still not working. We took it back and this time, we took the money. It's a real shame, too, because this is the best training product I have found in my years of owning dogs. They just are not durable. If your dog does not jump around and play, then, this collar will most likely last. But if that's your dog, you probably don't need a $100+ training product.
Worked wonders for our dog! October 8, 2009 C. Weston Our dog had the problem of barking (loudly and for a very long time) at any new person who came to our house. It got to the point where we didn't want to have people over anymore. Having this collar has helped so much! Just the beep level alone has been enough to get him to stop barking most of the time. We've only had to use the spray level a few times, and it's just enough to interrupt his barking and get him to calm down. He's very scared of new people as well, and stopping the barking has actually helped him to warm up to new people faster also. He would also sometimes run after people or cats outside our house and having the remote has been really handy to have to get him to stop that as well. He used to bolt out of the house barking, but now just putting the collar on has stopped that behavior. Our dog is small (about 20 pounds) and the collar is a little big, but not too bad. He can still run and play fetch with it on. He's an extremely sensitive little rescue dog, so I was hesitant to use any type of correction like this, but it has worked wonders on him.
Our life became heaven September 28, 2009 Christina (New York, NY USA) [...]
We adopted a kitten and a puppy which originally was supposed to be a good idea. It didn't really work out this way. Heidi always chases Kitty because she likes to play a lot and she is generally obsessed with the cat. Kitty, as expected, doesn't like this kind of affection and prefers to be left alone once in a while.
Another problem we have with the dog is that she barks at everything starting from wind and finishing with a neighbor's kid. That's why we needed something to prevent her from doing her chasing and barking all together.
We did some research on the internet and found two types of spray collars:
1) those that spray automatically when the dog barks
2) those that have a remote control
Because of the fact that we needed to resolve both chasing and barking we chose the second one.
Since the day it arrived our life became heaven! Not only the dog doesn't chase the cat when she has the collar on, she doesn't bark as well. The collar doesn't spray with water so the dog is never wet, it sprays with air. It has 3 options on the remote control: beep, small spray, large spray. We have been using it for 3 days now (beeping and small spraying) and never had a problem.
