Citronella Spray Dog Collar October 16, 2009 Elizabeth Hodge (London, Ontario, Canada) This product did not totally disappoint. It does what it says it will do. I think my pup just doesn't get it. After a few days, rather than stopping barking, she just got used to being sprayed in the face. Another thing I noticed is when the other dogs bark, she gets sprayed, but doesn't seem to mind.
If I have anything negative to say about the product it's simply that it took quite a while to get here - kinda slow, when you're excited to try something new and the pup keeps barking at the invisible critters in the back yard.
It really works. August 3, 2009 M. Benedetto We have a 10 yr old English Cocker Spaniel that is a barker. We tried a shock collar several years ago and it worked for a little while and then it seemed as if he didn't mind the shock because he kept on barking. Finally, at my witts end, I broke down and bought this citronella collar (after 4 years of barking). And it worked almost right away. He got one spray and it was - "WOW what was that!" Now as long as he has it on he doesn't bark, a low growl maybe. And even if he has it off he is a little hesitant to bark. But once he realizes it is off he will bark. I make him wear it in the car otherwise he barks continuously at anything and everything. This collar is terrific and I will recommend it to anyone I can. It smells great to me (not to the dog) and I feel a lot better that he isn't getting a JOLT everytime he barks.
Good product with a weak collar October 10, 2008 M. Weaver (TX) 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
The actual spray portion of the system is very good and effective with our 5 year old Lhasa Apso, however he was able to tear through the collar which we had to replace with a leather one. All in all a good product and well worth the packaged purchase .
Multivet Anti Bark Citronella Spray Dog Collar September 29, 2008 Melanie Barger 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
At first I could really tell a difference but now our morky seems use it and still barks and now my house smells like we are camping. It has an on/off switch which is nice but I would recommend a similar product that has a remote control. This way you can train him/her not to bark at certain times versus not being able to bark at all. Our dog (Max) seems confused by this and when we turn off the devise he knows it and starts to bark almost instantly.
wow! April 19, 2008 Maria Barnden 4 out of 4 found this review helpful
We have a small dog (sheepoo) and she just yaks and yaks as soon as she is let out the front door to do her business or to just sit on the front porch. It drives everybody crazy. We didn't want to use the zapper type collar becasue we thought that for a small dog it seemed mean (we actually tried our neighbours zapper collar) plus when I did some research on those collars, I didn't read many positive feedbacks. We tried the citronella collar and it has stopped her from barking when she is outside and it is just wonderful. I can't say that it has trained her because she will still do her barking frenzy if she realizes she's not wearing it but we are so happy that now we can let her out to do her business at midnight and she dosen't wake up the neighbourhood.
