4 out of 5 stars NON SLIP NOT GOOD   October 11, 2009

The non-slip surface started to tear up after the first couple of uses by my 85 LB. Yellow Lab. Installed outdoor carpet w/double sided tape& it works great.

4 out of 5 stars Great ramp, just very very heavy   September 18, 2009

I researched for so long before purchasing this ramp for my large senior dog...I had just bought the Lexus RX suv and this ramp definitely fit perfectly - it is the perfect angle for Max to walk in slowly, not too sharp of an incline, etc. The only thing is, it's incredibly heavy! It definitely makes it harder for me to justify lifting him in (he's 73 pounds) or getting out the ramp. Anyhow, the ramp itself is great, but reconsider if you don't have someone strong with you. Oh and it only took Max a couple of tries to get the hang of it and go up the ramp on his own...not bad for an old guy :) Good luck!

2 out of 5 stars Dog Car Ramp   May 30, 2009

I found this Dog Ramp to be too slipery for my 110# Weimaraner. It had to be substantially modified with non-skid and "Charlie" had to be re-
trained.

4 out of 5 stars Functional   November 30, 2008

Since we have 1 large (Newfoundland) dog who has some trouble with elbow arthritis and a Subaru Outback Wagon that has a fairly high rear bumper, we felt a ramp could be quite helpful for him and us. This ramp has proven its utility by being sturdy, and skid resistant, but at 25+ pounds it's rather heavy. It's obviously not nearly as heavy as lifting our unwieldy dog, though. It also takes up a fair amount of space in the rear area or the back seat (seats up). It does seem quite durable and has a latch to keep it from unfolding when ready to store. All things considered, I would buy it again unless I found a lighter/smaller version that could tolerate a 120+ pound dog as easily.

3 out of 5 stars It's a ramp   July 10, 2008

As far as ramps go, this one is ok. The surface scratches fairly easily, and its stability strap isn't long enough for all car types (my Element doesn't have a latch close enough to hook it to. The ramp itself is kind of wavy when stepped on, which meant my dog absolutely refused to use it. I would have liked a more solid ramp. Finally, while it folds up well, the latch holding it together is kind of flimsy for the weight of the ramp itself.

Overall, it's decent, and does what it says, but I'll be looking for a more sturdy one in the future.
