I really had my doubts when I bought this. I tried one of the cheaper couplers, the kind with the ring in the center and I can tell you they don't work. If one dog pulls the other gets pulled too.
I have two 13lb. Italian Greyhounds. Today I just walked down a very very crowded urban street and I had no trouble maneuvering them around all the people. I also take them running for an hour through a busy park and it works pretty darn great.
I'm not a dog trainer or anything, so I wouldn't say I have the best behaved dogs either.
SPORN is a great product. Really-I couldn't be happier (or more surprised.)
One more thing: I'm still using my retractable leash, but only for the feel of the handle. I tried to extend it, but we all got tangled up and, because of the weight, it wouldn't retract. This isn't a criticism, but just a heads up that you won't be able to extend your leash. But really, the length of the SPORN, for me and my dogs, is perfect.
(I'm not giving five stars-I'm saving that for invisible leashes that attach to my cerebral cortex)

I should start by saying the product arrived as promised, intact and as shown.
However, amazon needs to regulate sellers ad's better. The description reads as a universal dual lead.
This product is for large 15- 20 llb plus dogs only. I have 2 Yorkshire mini terriers and they can hardly pull the connection along let alone walk properly.
Not a faulty product, but should be a much clearer advertisement.

Anyone with two dogs will appreciate this coupler. I didn't know how my two Pomeranians (brothers) would take to it ( they are both strong headed, but they took right to it!), and we have a great time outside together walking now and they are getting the much fresh air that they need. Thanks for making such a great product for my pups!!!

This is a great product when you have more than one dog to walk. Walking two dogs with two leashes is hard and potentially dangerous. I was trying to cross a busy street. When we finally got a break in traffic, I tried to get acoss quickly. However the dogs crossed in front of me causing me to fall in the middle of that busy street. With this clever little device, I no longer have that problem! I combined it with the gentle leader and now we enjoy our walks.

First of all, i have been looking for a double dog leash for my two toy size dogs for a long time. The only one I found at PetsMart and PetCo is for "M-XL" size dogs. So i gave up and since some reviews say this one is good for small size dogs, I put my order here.
The moment i received this product... it is really joke cuz it is exactly the same one I have seen at PetsMart and Petco, where it says M-XL. When I opened it it is actually the universal clip that applies to any harness and leash. So that's the one I could have got from local pet store yet I waited two weeks looking and had to pay for shipping. That is what confuses me and I hope the manufacturer could at least revise the description to save the confusion.
