The April 2000 Event Extravaganza will be held April 7-9, 2000 in Washington State. The UBSDA (United Belgian Shepherd Dog Association) and the USMRA (United States Mondioring Assoc.), both member clubs of the AWDF (American Working Dog Federation) have joined forces to bring together a large contingency of working dogs.
The IPO trial is open to any registered Belgian Shepherd Dog of any variety (Malinois, Terv, Laeken, Groenendael), while the Mondio trial will be open to all breeds.
We are pleased to announce that FCI recongized judge Louis Quadroni of Switzerland will be officiating. Mr. Quadroni recently judged the '99 Mondio World Championship held in Mulhouse, France (III level), and the '98 IPO World Championship in Meppen, Germany (protection).
We hope you can join us at this debut event, including competitor's drawnight (Thurs. evening. Handlers may appoint Trial Sec. to draw for them), IPO tracking (Friday) followed by helper try-outs, Mondio IPO obedience/protection (Sat. Sunday), Judge's dinner (Sat.), and closing ceremonies (Sunday). The Mondio theme is "Camping in the Great Northwest", so get out your camping gear and train for this upcoming event. Tracking conditions to be pasture grass approx. 6-8 inches high.
You will fly into Seattle-Tacoma International airport. The host hotels, dinners, and drawnight will be held in Issaquah, WA, just 20-25 minutes east of Seattle. The stadium, Tolt Middle School, is located 25 minutes from the host hotels.
