Mark Chaffin Professional Dog Trainer

has over 30 years experience in all types of dog training:  Schutzhund, protection, obedience, problem dogs, police and family security dogs.
He has trained and helped certify many police dogs and dual-purpose dogs.  Mark has trained dogs from local level to international competition.  Mark is training director and founder of High Plains Schutzhund Club, Inc. one of the highest titling schutzhund clubs in the United States.   He started schutzhund in 1976 and titled his first dog to Schutzhund 1 in 1978.

He has taken six club members to the USA and AWDF Championships and many club members to North Americans and Regionals and even world levels. Seven club members competed in the 2002 Rocky Mt/Great Plains Regional Championship alone.

Mark has worked over 9 years with police in the Denver area and still consults today.  Mark is most proud of his ability to work with problem dogs of all breeds and types.  He trained the high scoring Bouvier at the AWDF Championships in Phoenix and took 4 club members to the AWDF Championships in Savanna, Illinois.  He helped three competitors to qualify and successfully compete at the Nationals in Birmingham, Alabama, and two competitors were from Alaska.

Mark is available for

  • Trainer Training
  • Schutzhund Training
  • Personal Protection Training
  • Family Security Training
  • Obedience Classes in both group and private classes

Mark also offers "Responsible Dog Ownership Seminars" and "Dog Bite Prevention Seminars".
